Coming into 2009, i can honestly say that I am satisfied with where i am as an artist ending 2008. It was a tough year to start off. For two-thirds of the year I crossed the bridge to work 5-6 days a week. When gas was at an all time high, plus toll, it wasn't the best period for me. Balancing being a supervisor and an artist was a struggle when you tried to make the workplace run as smoothly as possible to reduce stress plus putting in all the rest of the hours towards shirts, paintings, and events.

Despite working at ____, it has been my most progressive and active year in art. My art continues to evolve and i believe by being around a lot of artists showed that. Being around Individual Collective and Swamps & Bridges just pushed me to be a hungry artist. That and being in the same events, galleries, and boutiques as other respected artists around California just made me want to do my best. And the best is still yet to be seen as I have been telling myself and close ones that I will really push myself when I know i'm ready and satisfied with where my skill and style really separates me from the rest. Because of that mentality, i quit my job as a supervisor with just ONE paycheck worth to my bank account. From there on, i knew i had to really push myself. After all, i still had bills to be payed for every month. It helped a lot that my dedicated supporters were still making orders and new people were discovering me every other day.

I can honestly say, since i quit my job I have been happier and less stressed knowing that i have all time time to put in my own version of work into my art and ALOT more time with my lovely girlfriend who has been very supportive of me.

SO, i thank all of you who continue to support me and for those who i met in 2008, as long i receive the love i will show some back.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009! the year of the ox! 1985 kid so hard work i will be doing!
